SurgeryRepeat Prescriptions

Please allow 48 normal working hours for routine repeat prescriptions, except if urgent. Please use our on-line repeat prescription service or the prescription counterfoil to make your request, as this reduces the risk of confusion about the medication required. If you leave a stamped addressed envelope your prescription will be posted to you. You may post your request with a return stamped addressed envelope, rather than coming into the practice.

We accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions on 01392 281118, between 2.00 p.m. and 3.00 p.m., Monday to Friday. The line can be very busy and we recommend you use one of the other options for requesting your repeat prescriptions.. If you use this service it is essential that you have the name(s) of the medication in front of you before you make your call. This will ensure your call can be processed quickly and reduce the risk of errors being made. Many drugs sound similar and it may be necessary to check the spelling. The receptionists are instructed not to accept telephone requests if there is any uncertainty about any aspect of your requirements.

Lloyds Pharmacy Heavitree Health Centre

The Pharmacy now require 4 working days after receiving your prescription to dispense medication.

If you use this Pharmacy for your prescriptions, please allow plenty of time when ordering your repeat items to give them chance to make up your medications before you collect.

Thank you.

Repeat Dispensing

If you take the same medicines regularly you may not need to get a prescription every time you need more medicine, but may be able to benefit from Repeat Dispensing from the pharmacists. Please discuss this with your doctor if you wish to take advantage of this system.
