About our patient group

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing excellent care to our patients, it is important we regularly ask for feedback to identify any areas where we could improve.

To help with this, we have formed a Virtual Patient Participation Group (PPG), which is made up of patients, our Practice Manager and Deputy, and a lead GP.   The Group aims to identify areas where patient experience could be improved, and to work towards reasonable steps to ensure the Practice is offering the best possible service.

Over the last year, we have compiled all the comments and suggestions that we have received, along with the more recently launched responses from the Friends and Family Test and have circulated this information to our PPG on a quarterly basis.

In response to your feedback we are trialling lunchtime Nurse appointments and early evening appointments with a GP.  We have also made improvements to our children’s waiting area and provided a play house to keep our younger visitors busy whilst they wait.

We would like to thank everyone who has helped with this over the last twelve months – whether participating in the Virtual Group, or taking the time to complete either a comments or suggestions slip or the Friends and Family Test.  Your feedback is really important to us.

Many thanks for your continued interest in The South Lawn Medical Practice.

The Practice is recruiting for our Virtual Patient Participation Group.

Would you be happy to be contacted via email, no more than 5 times a year, to give us your views?

Questions/enquiries might be about:

–  The services we provide and any proposed changes.
–  Setting our priorities for the future.
–  Helping to agree questions for wider patient surveys

If you would be happy to participate in the Group, please email us at slmp@nhs.net or complete our online form.
